Serena and Jimmy...What a fun-loving couple, filled with joy and the excitement of their new little one, Henry! I loved every minute of this shoot, as they watched their baby's expressions and giggle, I tried to capture that natural bond between these young parents and their baby. Baby Henry was the center of this shoot, as both parents took turns and played with him, talked to him and enjoyed his little glow! There were so many tender moments captured in these photos I had a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to share. From when Henry grabbed Serena's earrings or as Jimmy gave Henry a sweet kiss on his head. The weather was nice and warm this spring day, but as the shoot came to a close, Henry decided he needed a little snuggle in the warm fuzzy blanket. We were more than willing to let him have his way to get just a few more photos of them. Best wishes to these new parents and their new journey together with Henry! ~Jen~ Here are a few other blog posts you may enjoy...

What can I say...I absolutely LOVE this shoot! And I think you will agree that they are just the cutest couple! On a beautiful Late spring afternoon in downtown Anoka, we found this amazing crab apple tree in full bloom right off Main Street with beautiful branches filled with blossoms hanging low. It was the perfect backdrop for this stunning couple. Their personalities were so sweet and charming and their love for each other lit up all these photos.
Happy 5 year Anniversary Kahlie and Luke! Here's to many more years of happiness and adventures! ~Jen~ Please take a moment to show them some Love! Here are some other blog posts you may enjoy... On a perfect Mid-May afternoon, the crab apple trees in full bloom, I met Dylan and Jess. As they walked up I could tell they were so thrilled to be having their photos taken. Usually, the guy isn't the instigator but Dylan was the one that initiated the call and he was ready and willing to pose any way he was told! And he ROCKED this session! I didn't have to give much direction to either of them, as they just went with the poses and made little adjustements, knowing exactly what felt right and natural to them. These to Love Birds were so fun to work with, and I was able to capture both romantic, intimate moments as well as their laughs and giggles between each other. Dylan knew exactly how to make Jess smile and laugh. I asked them how they met and they laughed and said it wasn't an instant connection. They had a class together, and Dylan noticed Jess and sat next to her. She didn't notice him much but Dylan didn't give up. He kept sitting next to her and eventually they were assigned to work with the person sitting next to them... and finally Dylan got his chance. I have to imagine he charmed Jess immediately with his warm, funny personality. I could have stayed out taking photos of them for hours, it was just so easy to capture amazing photos and the pink blooms of the trees were so beautiful next to Jess, looking so beautiful and her spring dress. I hope I get to shoot for these two again in the future. It was such a fun afternoon! By the way... The dip was Dylan's idea. He was all in and commited but Jess seemed a little leary of it. We finally got her to relax and captured some adorable dip shots! Way to go Jess and Dylan! ~Jen~ Here are some other Couple's Sessions you may enjoy...
On a beautiful late spring afternoon, I had the honor of working with Amber and her two beautiful daughters, Ella and Ava. Having a little toddler, full of life, running around during a shoot was a challenge but we rolled with her and caught some simply amazing images that show the love between this Mom and her daughters. The soft breeze swept through Ella's beautiful brown curls as we caugh some images of her alone and little Ava's hair, so cutely braided, soon became windswept, though I think it was more from her running to and fro in the new spring grass. This adorable family photo session was more about playing and capturing the love and affection between these three than posing and properness. I think the images turned out amazing and candid. I wish I had these types of images with my kids when they were little.
Thank you Amber for sharing your girls with me for the afternoon! It was so much fun! |
